Who We Are:

SSVA / South Shore Veterans Assistance Inc. is a 100% volunteer organization that's a registered 501(c)(3) Non Profit and primarily serves the needs of veterans and their families on the MA South Shore.

How We Help

We take a multi-pronged approach to helping our local veterans including:

Food Pantries

We support local food pantries - studies have shown that up to 20% of those households served by food pantries include someone who has served or is currently serving in the U.S. military. 

Veterans Agents

We work with local Veterans Agents helping veterans in need or in crisis.

VA Hospital

We've partnered with the VA Hospital to help with food, clothing, and other basic needs for veterans who may not have other resources. 

Ramp Installation

Ramp installations allow disabled & elderly veterans safe access in and out of their homes. Without these ramps many would not be able remain at home. 

Scooters & Electric Wheelchairs

Ramps, wheelchairs, & scooters can be beyond the budgets of some families, so we provide them free of charge.

Clothing Collection

We collect new socks, underwear, sweats, gloves, and coats (both men's and women's) for distribution to those in need.
